This free book can be found at:

A short but very well researched book on the history of the traditional Christian holidays. This looks into the pagan holidays and celebrations and how the early Church incorporated pagan traditions and dates to draw in members.

This book concentrates on Easter, Christmas, Halloween, and briefly touches on Valentines Day. It does discuss what days we should observe, but is covered only briefly. Personally, I'm on the wall with the suggested days we should be observing, but only because I have not researched them.

What I really find fascinating, is how we, as Christians, can shake our head and wonder how those in the Old Testament could worship an idol on one day and then turn around and honor the Sabbath on the next. If one looks at the background and history of the days that Christians currently celebrate, you'll see nothing has really changed!

Holidays or Holy Days: Does It Matter Which Days We Observe? is a must read for any and all Christians!

**Please note: The Bible references used in this publication are NOT KJV. There are not many that were quoted, but I used my KJV alongside to compare and make sure it was still an accurate reference. There are many scriptural references that you will need a Bible to look up anyhow, since you are given just the Book, Chapter and Verse. Although short, expect to take a bit of time to really look up everything verse that is given.

This book is from my own personal library.

Let's Talk... Menopause

Menopause.... a thing I heard about some, usually in jokes, but never discussed. Because it was never discussed, I had no idea what to expect and that discussion could have prevented lots of heartache, pain and frustration. I have decided to tell my story, with hope that it may help someone else.

My mother died when she was 56 and had a hysterectomy at 36, so I never witnessed menopause in my immediate family. So when I entered this new phase of my life, I had no idea what would happen. I had no older female in my life that could tell me that I wasn't going crazy. No one to explain the moods or feelings I was having. There was no one. Every older woman I was close to or would trust with the feelings I was having, died. My life, my sanity and my marriage were in shambles and I had no idea what happened or why.

In my late 40's was having crazy periods. For more than two years, they were extremely heavy and clotty. I was told that I was pre-menopausal and it was normal. When I was 50, they slowed down, stopped, and I had spotting from time to time. When I was almost 51, I caught the flu, became very ill and ended up with bronchitis. I was so sick and ended up losing 25 pounds in a month. Right after that, I found I couldn't sleep. I'd go 24-48 hours with no sleep, then I'd get a couple of hours the next night, and I'd be back awake for another 24-48 hours. I moved to the living room couch so that I wouldn't disturb my husband.

Night after night, I'd be awake and to pass the time, I'd be online playing games and chatting with people all across the world. There were hot flashes mingled in this mess, but I didn't realize it since it was summer.

With no sleep, came the crazy thoughts, wild moods and depression. It started arguments and strife in our home. Finally I went to the dr. to find out if I had a brain tumor or was just going crazy. He smiled, patted me on the shoulder and said it was just menopause and it will pass. I was having a little more difficulty because of the severe weight loss from my illness and more hormones being released more quickly.  I was told to take some melatonin for my sleeplessness and relax. No real help there.

By that time, our communication at home was bad. My husband never saw the effects of menopause on any of his family either, so he didn't know what to expect and thought I had decided I didn't want to be married to him any longer. I was sleeping on the couch and was online all the time. He asked me to go to counseling, but I refused. I didn't want the counselor to blame all on me. Besides, I asked him earlier to go and he refused, so I was just getting even, or so my crazy mind told me.

Well, things spiraled out of control. I got paranoid, thought he was having an affair and the melatonin didn't help. Things got worse because of the hormones and lack of sleep. Sadly, my marriage didn't survive, my adult children were heartbroken and I ran away to another continent to sort things out.

I came back, became employed, got my own apartment and finally, FINALLY turned my focus back to God. The Lord helped me heal as I started to read my Bible again. When everything happened, I tried to hide from the Lord because I failed so miserably. I ruined so many lives and my own marriage - something I treasured more than anything. When I finally surrendered, went to Him in prayer and accepted everything that I had done, I felt a weight lifted. I then started to read my Bible, and took a challenge to read all of Paul's books once a month for 12 months. That was 3 chapters a day. That challenge changed me.

The best part is, the Lord not only healed me, but brought my husband and I back together. We remarried and life has been amazing since. We don't take things for granted any more and more importantly, we keep God at the center of our marriage.

I don't remember all the craziness of what happened for about 2 years, so much was like I was in a fog. My husband will tell me things that happened and honestly, I don't remember much. There's so much to this story, but I won't bog you down with details, as this is so long as it is. I do thank you for sticking to the end, and I pray that my story may possibly help someone who didn't have some to turn to.

If you need someone to talk to - I am here and would be happy to help. God Bless~

ALIVE Gospel Sexuality for Students Review

ALIVE: GOSPEL SEXUALITY FOR STUDENTS
Author: Cooper Pinson/Harvest USA
Publisher: New Growth Press
ISBN: 9781645270918
Paperback
Pages: 167
$15.99 (discounts on publisher's website)

Note: This study uses the English Standard Version

About the Book:

Alive: Gospel Sexuality for Students gives teenagers and young adults a biblical, gospel-centered framework to understand sexual issues. In a changing culture where feelings about our identity inform our sexual choices, this ten-week small group resource by Cooper Pinson of Harvest USA, applies biblical truth in a compassionate way to sexual struggles.

Cooper Pinson, with years of experience working with students, aims to bring the theological truths of our union and communion with Christ into the world of sexuality. Students are met where they are and encouraged to talk about the issues that are part of their everyday world. At the same time, they are guided to learn robust, deep, and strengthening theological content that will help them follow Jesus in how they express their sexuality.

Out of this framework, topics addressed include God's good design for sexuality, gender-related issues, singleness, dating, marriage, masturbation, pornography, and same-sex attraction, among others. Students are shepherded to understand their sexuality in the light of who Jesus is and to approach these issues with truth, faith, and compassion.

With over 100 years of combined direct ministry experience, Harvest USA staff also seek to equip the Church with their writing and teaching on biblical sexuality and how to help those who struggle sexually.

My Thoughts:

Sex and sexuality is probably one of the most thought about and talked about subjects in the world of a teenager. Society hits teens from all sides - be it gender, relationships, media, etc., our children are getting told lots of things through every aspect of their life. What they learn from their friends, schools, movies, books, special interest groups and other worldly influences is certainly not what we, as Godly parents, want our children to hear or worse - believe.

Alive: Gospel Sexuality for Students is a wonderful resource to help guide our youth to the Biblical truth about sex and sexuality. This leaders guide/student workbook looks at God's design for us and tackles many very sensitive issues. The leader's guide is laid out in a very user friendly manner for the youth leader (or even the parent who wants to use this as a guide to talk to their teens). There are questions to discuss, scenarios for the students to read, issues to cover and even touches on abuse and rape. This is designed for a group setting and would definitely be best in a gender specific group. I know, as a female, I certainly wouldn't want to talk about these things in front of a male!

I'm not sure how I feel about this book having both the leader's guide as well as the student workbook in one volume. It is nice for the leader, but the students have all the answers and information at their fingertips, taking the thinking and spontaneity away from the discussion. These kids really need to sit and think and consider how serious sex is and how God's design works for us!

I received a copy of these books from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, but instead, one that gives my honest opinion.

My Thoughts:

My first reaction to this series is "WOW!" I wish I had had this available to me years ago. This series has addressed so many questions and concerns I've had throughout my lifetime. How much simpler things would have been to have understood God's Design for us - for me. I was raised with no instruction from the Church except when it came to pre-marital classes given by the Catholic church. It didn't cover much except for natural birth control and that was about all there was to the sexuality part.  When Mr. D and I were engaged, we had our counseling session with a Baptist minister and there was no mention of sex at all, just our salvation. So - my education was a book-set from my mother that explained sex and the views of my peers, romance novels, movies and music  - all world views and not Biblical.

I could never really put God together with sex, although he was the one that designed it! It took this course to really open my eyes and see things in a totally different light. It made things so clear - that we are designed to be made for our spouse and our spouse only. It would have been wonderful being taught this from a young age - how sex/sexuality is a gift from God and not something dirty, secretive or never to be spoke about with your Christian peers.

This series covers areas that Christians struggle with: pornography, same-sex attraction, gender identity, keeping our children safe in a world of technology, how to talk to your children about God's Design of Sex, etc. All of these aspects are important to go over for those that struggle as well as those that do not. No one is condemned for having these struggles, but instead are given guidance and support. For those that do not struggle, this series helps to understand and shows how to possibly give help or just a listening ear for those that may have a need.

This amazing series should be offered by every Church. There are so many struggling with the idea of a healthy sexuality in the Christian Church and this would definitely solve quite a few issues. How wonderful it would be to bring up the next generation of our children with the idea that sex is a God given gift to be treasured and excited about and not something that is associated with shame because God certainly can't fit in with "something like that"!

Don't think you have to be head of a Church or group to get this series. It would be a good addition to any Christian home - especially if you have questions, are struggling with things or have children that you'd like to teach how beautiful sex and sexuality is because it is God's Design for us.

I received a digital access of this course from Harvest USA. I was not required to write a positive review, but instead, one that gives my honest opinion.

Hope for Your Marriage - Review

Hope for Your Marriage: Experience God’s Greatest Desires for You and Your Spouse

Hope for Your Marriage: Experience God’s Greatest Desires for You and Your Spouse

Authors: Clayton and Ashlee Hurst with Joel Osteen
Publisher: Emanate Books (Thomas Nelson)
ISBN: 9780785216452
Paperback, 224 pages

About the Book:

Clayton and Ashlee Hurst share the principles and Scripture they have learned to lean on and preach at Lakewood Church. Foreword by Joel Osteen.

Are you willing to do whatever it takes to have the marriage you dreamed of? Interestingly, this is the question Clayton and Ashlee ask young couples before they get married and married couples in crisis. If they answer yes, then there is hope for the couple. If they are willing to commit to the hard work ahead, they have a very good shot.

Hope for Your Marriage is a book designed for couples who desire to have the best marriage possible. Every marriage has the potential to be incredible when God is at the center.

In Hope for Your Marriage, Clayton and Ashlee share personal stories on overcoming fairy-tale pitfalls; keeping Jesus at the center of your marriage; practicing healthy communication on sex, conflict, and forgiveness; declaring life over your marriage; and leaving a God-honoring legacy.

My Thoughts:

Although there are a few good points and pieces of advice in Hope for Your Marriage, I found is pretty much like any other book on marital advice. There is a bit of scripture quoted, but more personal with many stories of other couples and those couples are all counselors or in the ministry at Lakewood Church. I was hoping to find something that would be geared to couples who had been married for quite a period of time, but this seems more geared to those who are seeking marriage or have been married only a short period of time.

I will admit my thinking was swayed a bit when the authors used the illustration of male vs female brain as something of their own concoction instead of giving any reference to where it came from. It was almost word for word as it was presented by Mark Gungor more than 10 years ago on his DVD. Here is an excerpt of that DVD from YouTube that the authors used - especially the boxes and the nothing box:

I ended up wondering what else was not original and with the many discussions about Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen and how wonderful things are there, if it's not more of a plug for the Osteen empire and not so much for really helping couples.

Personally, I felt this book was not as scriptural as it should be, and more filled with "feelings" and human examples. Yes, stories from others" life experiences are great illustrations, but I wanted more about scripture and what the Bible says.

I received a copy of this ebook from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review, but instead, one that gives my honest opinion.

The One Year Book of Amish Peace by Tricia Goyer

The One Year Book of Amish Peace
Author: Tricia Goyer
Publisher: Tyndale House
ISBN: 9781414379807
Genre: Christian/Devotional

About the Book:

In our instantly connected world, it’s surprisingly easy to lose our connection to God. This devotional taps Amish wisdom in order to help us draw closer to God and hear his voice. In The One Year® Book of Amish Peace, you’ll get a daily taste of Amish values and wisdom. Tricia Goyer shares her fascination with the Amish in a way that will inspire and encourage believers to carve out more time in each day to listen to God and experience his presence. This daily devotional contains interesting facts about the Amish, recipes, and information about the way the Amish handle money, rear their children, and center their lives on faith in God. You’ll be inspired to slow down and find ways to simplify so that you, too, can experience God in the ordinary.

My Thoughts:

This devotional is one of the best that I've seen in a long time. Tricia Goyer captures the essence of the Amish and transfers it into a wonderful devotional that can be used over and over again since it is not dated with days or year. Unfortunately there is no entry for leap-year and some of the holidays may not match up correctly, but they can easily be compensated for. Personally, I will be using it again and again.

Each entry starts out with a Bible verse (many translations are used), a devotion that has an example of Amish life and how to apply it to our own lives, a fact about the Amish on the sidebar, and ends with a prayer. Also included are a few recipes and a section called "Endnotes" that contains both websites and information for further reading and study.

This is a lovely devotional that not only gives us a peek at the Amish way of life but uses them as an example to become a more "peaceful" person. The entries are realistic and very much true to the Amish belief and lifestyle. I can say this from experience as one of my closest friends is Amish and I see her (as well as her family) in many of the entries.

This devotional comes highly recommended and would be a delight to anyone that enjoys learning about the Amish or just wants a more peaceful way of life. The One Year Book of Amish Peace would also make a thoughtful and delightful gift this holiday season. What a wonderful way to start the new year!

SHORT BOOK DESCRIPTION:

Inspired by NASA projections and recorded history, Pastor John Hagee reveals direct connections between four upcoming blood-moon eclipses and what they portend for Israel and all of humankind.

Over the last 500 years, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover three separate times. These occurrences were connected to some of the most significant days in Jewish history: 1492 (the final year of the Spanish Inquisition when Jews were expelled from Spain), 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence) and 1967 (the Six-Day War). Every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God, which signals coming events to humanity. There are no solar or lunar accidents. The next series of four blood moons occurs at Passover and Sukkot in 2014 and 2015. In this riveting book, Hagee explores what these blood moons mean and why Christians must understand these signs and what they bode both for Israel and the world.

Joel 2 and Acts 2 both state: "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness [eclipse] and the moon into blood [eclipse] before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."

AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER:

Signs in the Heavens

There will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars. . . . Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.
—Luke 21:25, 27–28

As the jet plane gracefully circled over the majestic beauty of Puget Sound, I looked out of the window at the tall and perfectly shaped spruce trees that surrounded a series of glis- tening lakes. Along the shoreline stood elegant homes with boat ramps and fishing docks extending from beautifully

manicured lawns. It was the American paradise that is the gorgeous state of Washington.
The wheels of the jet touched down on the runway with their familiar screech, which is always music to my ears. Every safe landing is a great landing!
The jet rolled to a stop. I unbuckled my seat belt, climbed down the steps, and was refreshingly jolted by the cool breeze on my face. I knew then we were far from the sweltering Texas heat! I began to focus on the reason I was here and what I was to say to the thousands that were gathering for the statewide Night to Honor Israel rally that evening.
Six years earlier, on February 6, 2006, I had invited four hundred of America’s foremost evangelical leaders to join me at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, to form a na- tional organization called Christians United for Israel. The purpose of our organization is to bring Christians and Jews together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and brotherly love, in order to emphasize that what we have in common is far greater than the differences we have allowed to separate us over the centuries.
If you are not currently a member of Christians United for Israel and desire to stand with Israel and the Jewish people, I strongly encourage you to join us today by going to CUFI.org.
King David said, “You will arise and have compassion on
Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come” (Psalm 102:13 niv). . . . The appointed time is now!

Signs in the Heavens

why Should we Support iSrael?
If we are to correctly understand heavenly signs and wonders, it’s imperative we grasp the full scope of Scripture and history. The following are five biblical reasons why Christians should be grateful to, and show support for, the nation of Israel and the Jewish people:

1. god proMiSeS to BleSS thoSe who BleSS iSrael “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” (Genesis 12:3). This is God’s pledge to Abraham and the Jewish people for all generations to come. God has promised to bless nations, churches, and individuals who do practical acts of kindness to bless Israel and the Jewish people.
Biblical evidence of God’s promised blessing is found in Luke 7, where a Roman centurion who had a sick servant wanted the Rabbi from Nazareth to come into his home and heal his servant. Jesus was an observant Jew; yet He would have to break the laws of Moses to enter the house of a Gen- tile, who was considered unclean.
The centurion—commander of a hundred soldiers—sent the Jewish elders to intercept Jesus. The elders begged Jesus earnestly, saying that the Roman centurion request was de- serving of Jesus’ healing, “for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue” (Luke 7:5).
Jesus healed the sick servant because a Gentile had

performed a practical act of kindness to bless Israel and the
Jewish people.
The Bible further supports God’s blessing on those who bless Israel with the evidence of Cornelius. Why were Cor- nelius and his household the first Gentiles to hear the gospel and to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? The answer is found in Acts 10:22, which describes Cornelius the centurion as “a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews.”
God performed a miracle to motivate the apostle Peter to go to the house of this unclean Gentile. Peter had a vision of a sheet (a prayer shawl) filled with unclean animals (Gentiles), and God commanded him not to call unclean what God had pronounced as clean (Acts 10:9–16). Peter obeyed the mes- sage of the vision and went, against religious tradition, to the house of a Gentile to present the gospel.
When Peter shared the gospel with the household of Cor- nelius, they all received salvation and were filled with the Holy Spirit, and then Peter commanded them to be baptized in wa- ter (Acts 10:44–48).
The Holy Spirit was poured out on Cornelius and his household because a Gentile did practical acts of kindness to bless the Jewish people, and true to His promise, God blessed him beyond measure.
I can testify personally that there is no human explana-
tion for the unprecedented blessing of God on Cornerstone

Signs in the Heavens

Church and John Hagee Ministries other than the fact that more than thirty years ago we decided to show practical acts of kindness for Israel and the Jewish people. Since that time, God has opened the windows of heaven and blessed us be- yond measure.
God’s promise is a fact: “I will bless those who bless you.”

2. we are coMManded to pray for the peace of JeruSaleM
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is not a request—it’s a command! “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you” (Psalm 122:6).
From God’s perspective, Jerusalem is the center of the uni- verse. Jerusalem is the city David conquered from the Jebusi- tes three thousand years ago, and it became the capital of Isra- el forever. May it always be the eternal and undivided capital of Israel, and may peace be within her walls and prosperity within her palaces (Psalm 122:7).
Jerusalem is where Abraham offered Isaac on Mount Mo- riah. Jerusalem is where Jeremiah and Isaiah penned prin- ciples of righteousness that became the moral compass for Western civilization. And outside of its gates Jesus Christ, the Son of David, was crucified for the sins of the world.
According to biblical prophecy, Jerusalem is the past, present, and future of the world! From this city, Jesus will rule
planet earth with a rod of iron, and of His kingdom there shall

be no end (Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:33).
When you pray for Jerusalem, you are praying for world peace. History proves that when there is peace in Jerusalem, there is peace in the world. When there is war in Jerusalem, the blood flows on planet earth. The universe revolves around Jerusalem. I quote my friend Dr. Graham Lacey, “As long as there is Jerusalem there is God; and as long as there is God there is Jerusalem.”

3. we are coMManded to Be watchMen on the
wallS of iSrael
God commands us through the prophet Isaiah to be watch- men on the walls of Jerusalem (62:6). We are commanded by God, through the prophet Isaiah, to speak up and defend Is- rael and the Jewish people when they are slandered, attacked by their enemies, and are subjected to any callous act of anti- Semitism. Isaiah writes:

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest. . . .
I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.

(62:1, 6)

Signs in the Heavens

4. we are coMManded to MiniSter to iSrael in
Material thingS
Another biblical reason we support Israel is given by the apostle Paul: “For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things [the Jewish people], their duty [the Gentiles] is also to minister to them [the Jewish people] in material things” (Romans 15:27).
What are the “spiritual things” Paul is referring to?

• The Jewish people have given to us the written Word of God.
• The Jewish people have given to us the patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
• The Jewish people have given to us the Old Testament prophets: Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habak- kuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
• The Jewish people have given to us the first family of Christianity: Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Take Jesus out of Christianity and there is no Christianity.
• The Jewish people have given to us the twelve disciples and the apostle Paul.

Consider the monumental contribution given to us by the seed of Abraham. For this reason Jesus said in John 4:22, “For salvation is of the Jews.”

9

#bloodmoons

If you take away the Jewish contribution to Christianity, there would be no Christianity. Judaism does not need Chris- tianity to explain its existence; Christianity, however, cannot explain its existence without Judaism.
When I refer to Christianity I am referencing the teach- ings of Christ, which were based on the principles of Juda- ism—not the deeds of polluted historic Christianity.
Historic Christianity has left an evil legacy. It is responsible for the Crusades, in which Jewish people from Europe to Je- rusalem were slaughtered in seven major pogroms (crusades). The first crusade was declared by Pope Urban II in 1095. The Crusaders were rapists and thieves, forgiven in advance by the reigning pope for any sins they might commit while on their holy campaign to liberate Jerusalem from the “infidels.”
Not one Christian in a hundred today can answer the ques- tion: “How is it that Christianity, born through the teachings of a Jewish rabbi named Jesus of Nazareth, could three hundred years later kill Jews in the name of God?”
There is a dramatic difference between historic Christian- ity and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I publicly state that I am not a follower of historic Christianity; I am a follower of Jesus Christ!

5. JeSuS entreated the church to Support iSrael We should support Israel and the Jewish people because it was Jesus’ final request to His church. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40:

10

Signs in the Heavens

Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren [the Jewish people], you did it to Me.

Jesus never called the Gentiles His brethren until after the cross. Before the cross we were, as described by the apostle Paul, outside the covenants of Israel, without God and with- out hope, of all men most miserable (Ephesians 2:12; 1 Cor- inthians 15:19).
Gentile Christians can look at the day of the cross and shout for joy. It was there we were grafted into the original olive tree (Romans 11:17). It was there our sins were forgiven, buried in the deepest sea, never to be remembered anymore (Jeremiah 31:34). It was there that our sicknesses and diseas- es were removed and we received divine health, for “by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
It was at the cross that Jesus took our poverty and gave to us the riches of Abraham. We who were “not a people” (1 Pe- ter 2:10) were adopted and became “kings and priests to His God” (Revelation 1:6), “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthi- ans 5:20), and have been taken from rags to royalty through the precious blood of the virgin-born, “the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). The curse of death, hell, and the grave was broken, and we were given eternal life; hallelujah for the cross!
God’s Gentile assignment toward the Jewish people is to
show them what they have not seen from historic Christianity

in two thousand years—the pure and unconditional love of
God!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works [practical acts of kindness] and glo- rify your Father in heaven.

(Matthew 5:16)

Jesus said, “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me” (Matthew
25:35–36).
Jesus makes it very clear that it’s not what you feel about the Jewish people that is the acid test, for Jesus didn’t say, “I was hungry and you felt sorry for Me; I was thirsty and you felt concern for Me; I was a stranger and you felt pity for Me.” I often hear pastors, evangelists, and Christians say, “I really like Israel” or “I like the Jewish people.” Jesus couldn’t care less what you like or don’t like; He’s looking for action. What will you do? What practical acts of kindness have you or your church done to demonstrate your love for Israel as mentioned in Matthew
25:40? What action have you taken to support Israel?
Stop talking about what you feel . . . and start taking action by showing practical acts of kindness toward God’s chosen people. Simply put, “Don’t tell me you love me. Show me!”

My Thoughts:

I have never had any exposure to John Hagee, so since it sounded like a fascinating topic, I thought I would join the tour and request his new book. My huge mistake. You see, it appears Hagee does not rightly divide the Word of Truth (2 Ti 2:15) nor does he stay with any one Bible version, so it makes it so very, very easy to make his theories sound scriptural. I mean, hey, it came out of the Bible, right?!! This book doesn't hold Truth for me.

I cannot endorse "Four Blood Moons  because of the above reasons.

SHORT BOOK DESCRIPTION:

How does a person move from a place deficient of light?  How can an individual shift from a place of complete and utter chaos, obscurity, apathy, and adversity?  The pathway to transformation is through in-depth conversations with the One True God of Creation–El·ō·hēm'.  For you to move to a place of prophetic providence, your conversation must be divinely inspired.  Hebrews 11:3 states: “The worlds were framed by the Word of God.”  Framing begins with an idea, expands as a result of the imagination, and gives life through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through divine utterance for a specific purpose.  Declaring the Word of God releases the creative power of God for authentic transformation.

K. E. Allen designed this book to draw you into a deeper conversation with the Father to renew your prayer life, mend your brokenness, enlighten your pathway, and arrange your chaos according to the divine order of God.

AND NOW...THE FIRST CHAPTER:

PREFACE
The Call

As you read this section, take time to prayerfully answer the questions.
Will you answer the call to Intercede for others?
There are times in life when one encounters God in such tangible ways that it becomes physically overwhelming to the senses.  I still remember it like it was yesterday the moment I first experienced God’s hand upon my life. This particular moment was different from times past.  It was during my second year at Oral Roberts University when the Spirit of God visited me in an unusual way.  I can only describe it as being cloaked with a robe weighing more than I could carry.  Throughout that period, I would try to eat and socialize with others like a normal 19-year-old student.  However, the spirit of intercession would overwhelm me and I would run across campus weeping.  What a foolish site I must have been.
During those times, I would run back to my room and cry out to God and pray in the spirit until relieved of the overpowering burden lodged in the center of my chest. As I often recant that period in my life to others, I always say, “I fasted more days than I ate.”  When I look back on that time, I realize God Himself was forming me into His intercessor.

Some say I have an anointing to pray and fast. The truth is the desire for God’s presence, His will, and purpose often creates a spiritual desperation no natural food can satisfy. Seeing the will of God accomplished is true fulfillment.
By applying the principles of the Word of God regarding fasting and intercession, I have witnessed the reversal of court decisions, dramatic transformation of individuals, miraculous healings, and the restoration of family members.
It is God’s desire to use man to accomplish His will in the earth.  Throughout the scriptures God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary feats through intercession and fasting.  It is only by His grace, through faith, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit that believers accomplish anything, including interceding and fasting on the behalf of others.
Think about these few scriptural examples:
In Scripture, the intercession of Moses convinced God not to destroy the people of Israel (Numbers 14:11-21).
Will you be the one to convince God to show mercy as Moses did?
Esther, organizing three days of fasting and intercession, delivered the Jewish nation from the plot of Haman–a plot that would have annihilated the entire Jewish race (Esther 4:16).
Will you be the one who prays for your nation to experience true deliverance?
The Scriptures also mention Anna, who for 84 years worshipped the Lord with continual fasting and praying until the birth of Christ (Luke 2:21-38).
How long are you willing to intercede to see Christ born in others?
These are powerful examples. Even so, the ultimate act of intercession was Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection from the dead. Christ’s altruistic act empowers the believer to live an overcoming life. He has proven to be the Chief Intercessor who ever-lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25).
Engaging in the selfless act of intercession displays the characteristics of Christ, who is merciful and kind. He shows mercy to a thousand generations.  Therefore, He is constantly looking for someone to demonstrate His personality and act as a bridge between Him and mankind.
God desires, is requesting, and choosing, people who will build a wall of justice and institute His Kingdom rule on earth as it is in heaven.  He desires people who will reinforce His purposes. He desires someone who will be persistent to establish His heart in the earth.
God desires hedge builders and gap fillers.  He is calling for people willing to sacrifice their lives to preserve a person, a business, a community, a city, a region, a country, or a nation.
In Numbers Chapter 16, the Scriptures record: when the sons of Korah came against Moses, God sent a plague among the people as judgment. The Bible says Aaron lit the censer, made amends for the people, and stood between the living and the dead. His act of intercession stopped the plague (Numbers 16: 1-50).
As one intercedes according to the heart of God, the words spoken impede the strategies of the enemy and frame God’s prophetic destiny.
Whose destiny are you willing to revolutionize through intercession?

Introduction

Who is the Watchman?

The watchman is responsible for framing prophetic destiny spoken by the council of God. The watchman’s anointing allows one to perceive accurately the enemy approaching from a distance to warn the people of God of the plots and plans of the enemy (Ezekiel 33:1-6).
Conversely, when introduced to Christ, believers usually gain knowledge of one dimension or one kind of prayer–“the prayer of petition.”  This type of prayer involves asking the Father for personal needs and desires.  Unfortunately, because of insufficient training, countless believers fail in this initial level of prayer and lose the desire or interest before discovering the true, hidden treasures found in prayer.  Discerning the extent by which believers can communicate with the Father creates an inward hunger and thirst to know Him more.
As one matures and develops a disciplined prayer life, prayer becomes a conversation based on God’s covenant, God’s heart, God’s mind, and God’s purpose.  God and His purpose are the center and focus of every dialogue.  Essentially, prayer is an exchange of ideas about His purpose pertaining to one’s family, ministry, business, community, and nation.  This is the key to successful prayer–exchanging self generated thoughts for God’s thoughts.  When one prays apart from God’s desires, there is no guarantee of answered prayers.  The assurance comes when one’s desires align with His.  Asking according to His will cultivates the confidence that He hears, He answers (1 John 5:14-15), and He is faithful.  Understanding God’s authenticity facilitates a deeper level of conversation based on relationship.
The depth of one’s conversation depends on the depth of the relationship.  The more intimately one knows a person, the deeper the conversation.  Closeness automatically creates an atmosphere for a transparent, authentic exchange.  Intimate conversation allows face-to-face interactions in which nothing is hidden.  This kind of exchange allows one to know the secret place of another’s heart well enough to speak for them.  This is the watchman.
In other words, the watchman relies on his intimate relationship with God to preserve his sensitivity in spiritual warfare.  In essence, the requisite for the watchman maintaining his prophetic precision is standing in the presence of God waiting for instruction (Habakkuk 2:1-2).
The watchman surrounds himself with other prophetic gifts, such as gatekeepers. Gatekeepers war at spiritual gates, to prevent the enemy from gaining entrance into the lives of individuals, families, ministries, businesses, communities, regions, states, countries, and nations.  In a symphonic synergistic way, the gifts flow in concert to provide warning to the people of God by discerning the will of God and receiving intercessory strategy from the Holy Spirit to overcome an already defeated adversary.

Word to the Watchman

Word to the Watchman from the one whose…eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him…(2 Chronicles 16:9).

While you are watching for Me, I am watching over you. Watch not on your own but watch through My eyes that you may see clearly. I watch over My Word to perform it.  Therefore, in your watching, speak the Word. I will perform and manifest the Word you speak.
This is the season and the time I will arise to establish and confirm what I have spoken.  That which I have sworn, I will perform. Watch and wait to see what I will do. For this is the season of fulfillment. This is the season of manifestation.
Pressing is a part of the watching process, so be encouraged!  Your regimented press will yield creative fruit others can enjoy.

Keys to Framing

Your

Prophetic Destiny

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day (Genesis 1:1 -5).

Genesis Chapter 1 paints a picture of the earth and the deep prior to creation.  The Earth was without form. It was in a confused state. It was a wilderness and a place of chaos.  The Earth was empty.  The Earth had no frame or clear form.  The Earth was void of organization and lacked the basic essentials to display an articulate image of itself.  It lacked the ability to produce.  It was a desolate place.  In essence, the essential character of the Earth was not visible.  Alongside of desolate Earth, existed the deep that was deficient of light.  Both were entities operating outside prophetic destiny.  Nevertheless, the Earth was meant to be a conduit for man to carry out the purpose and plan of God, and a place of productivity.  The water destined to be a source of refreshment, growth, and life.
As I describe the condition of the earth and the deep, you may see yourself or certain aspects of your life or someone else’s life in the same condition.  If this is the case, we have to begin asking significant questions:  How does one move from a place deficient of light?  How does one move from a place of apathy and complacency?  How does one move from a place of misery, and continual misfortune?  How does one move from a place of complete and utter chaos?
Over the next few pages we will explore, in short, the fundamental keys for moving from a place of frustration and lack into your prophetic destiny.  Through your trust and confidence towards God, you must learn to cultivate an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to manifest.  Subsequently, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit you must be able to speak the Word of God accurately.
The Word of God acts as a streetlight in the midst of your “moments of darkness” and allows you to see clearly the path God has designed for you.  Ultimately, as you imitate the blueprint witnessed at creation, you release the creative power of the God of Creation, Elohim, for prophetic destiny.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION
As you decree and declare, there are foundational, scriptural principles necessary for successful application of this resource.
Pray to the Father as Jesus instructed his disciples to do in Matthew 6:9

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Pray in the name of Jesus, based on the following scriptures: John 14:13; John 14:1; John 15:16; John 16:23-26

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John. 14:13).

Pray in faith with a forgiving heart.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses (Mark. 11:24-25).

When you decree and declare, you are stating emphatically and authoritatively an order, directive, or command enforced by God’s covenant promises.  As you decree and declare the Word, two principles are in operation:

By His own agreement, God obligates Himself to fulfill His promises (Matthew 18:19-20).
When you exercise your God given authority through the Word, it neutralizes the enemy (Matthew. 16:19).

The following is an example of praying or declaring the Word:

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof (Isaiah 42:10).

Prophetic Decree:
(A simple definition for a prophetic decree is communicating by the leading of the Holy Spirit, and with inherit authority the heart and mind of God at the opportune moment for maximum Kingdom results.)

We sing unto the Lord a new song and His praise from our region.  We sing a song in our region that has never been heard.  The song that You give us shall pierce the darkness and open the windows, gates, and portals of heaven for the King of glory to come in perpetually.
Or
We decree and declare that a new song and praise be released to the Lord from our region.  We decree and declare that a song be released from our region that has never been heard. We decree and declare it will pierce the darkness and open the windows, gates, and portals of heaven for the King of Glory to come in perpetually.

Use the scriptures referenced at the bottom of each prayer to help you begin to know what God is saying.  Then, find additional scriptures. Take the time to look up the words in a Bible concordance, Bible dictionary, and regular dictionary for further understanding. As you read, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.  If a particular Word or phrase seems to stand out more than others, stop there and ask the Holy Spirit what He wants to reveal or say to you. This will assist you in writing your own prophetic decrees.
Take time to meditate on the words, phrases, or passages the Holy Spirit highlights to you.  To meditate simply means to think about the words, phrases, or passages continually and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you further.  You may recite the words, phrases, or passages repeatedly or picture them in your mind while praying in the Spirit.  The key is to place yourself in a position for the Father to speak to your heart.
The prayers in this book were derived from my intimate conversations with the Father.  As you prayerfully decree, declare, and meditate on the prayers in this book, I pray you are stirred to develop a deeper level of conversational intimacy with Him.  I challenge you to begin to frame your prophetic destiny through your own conversations with the Father.

The First Watch

God’s Divine Order
We declare we will exercise DOMINION, rulership, ownership, and control in every area under the mandate you have given us. We declare the sovereign rule of Christ in our lives and over every area to which the Lord gives us authority and influence. We declare land ownership for Kingdom cultivation purposes.
We declare that we are a FRUITFUL people. Therefore, we declare an increase leading to beneficial, profitable, abundant results, and growth for the Kingdom of God in our lives.  We declare a grace upon our lives, which comes through Jesus Christ, that is conducive for productivity. We declare that we are abounding in fruit.
We declare the principle of MULTIPLICATION is active in us through the creative Word of God.  We declare that we are GREAT people for the Kingdom of God. We declare that we increase and multiply exceedingly and that we are strong Kingdom citizens.  We declare that we increase and multiply in our substance in every area, thereby eliminating lack.
We actively REPLENISH every person, place or thing we come in contact with through the power of the Holy Spirit. We declare that we live life to the full until it overflows because of Christ.  We declare that we are accomplished according to the order of God’s ORIGINAL INTENTION and DIVINE ORDER.  We declare that we are a consecrated people and our hands are full of supply.  We are complete and satisfied.  We declare that we mutually fill each other’s gaps and attack with united strength every empty place. We declare that we bring fresh oil, and an authentic supply through the authority of Christ.  We declare that we are a people who inspire and nourish others.
Through our passion for Christ, we impose Kingdom mandates wherever we go. We repress and destroy every thought, idea, activity, and action contrary to the counsel of God by the Authority conferred upon us in Christ. We declare we are overcomers in every aspect of our lives.  Every place You send us, we declare Your Kingdom come and Your counsel be established.  We expand the Kingdom of God and restrain the kingdom of darkness.  We shatter the bands of injustice, disengage intense difficulties, and declare the deliverance of the afflicted.  We bring every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ.  By the superior force found in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, we overpower every adversary!
We declare that every confused, empty place, every area that lacks a coherent image, formal structure, orderly arrangement, or divine set order, begin to produce and operate according to God’s original intention. We declare that every gap, ineffectual, obscure, dark place receive the wind, breath, and mind of God.  We declare that the breath of God is moving, and imparting energy, executive and administrative power, and Shekinah glory. We declare that the breath of God is releasing and creating an atmosphere for the creative Word of God to bring about restoration, order, harmony, and wholeness according to God’s original purpose.
We declare that every valley be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill is made low.  We decree and declare that every crooked and uneven place is made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.  We declare that the glory of the Lord shall be revealed in our lives, in our families, in our ministry, in the Body of Christ, in our city, in our state, in our country, in our nation, and in our world.
We agree with the Word which declares we are blessed!  We are blessed to PROSPER, PRODUCE, FILL THE EARTH, and TAKE OVER wherever we go!
Father, we are looking for You and expecting You to respond.  We linger for and eagerly anticipate You to advance on our behalf in order that we may pass through, transform, mature, and spring forth again with KINGLY DOMINION.
We seal this prayer in the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Be Restored
When you make the decision to come and drink from My fountain and lay prostrate before Me, you will see My original intent and divine activity. In the place by Me, you will conceive what is predetermined, and inevitable.  Come and see what I have purposed.  I will accomplish what I set out to perform. As you surrender to me, you will produce fruit that will remain.  Allow Me to prepare you.  I am attending to you and putting your life in order because you are Mine.
As you lay before Me, you will give birth to every purpose and plan.  I will bring forth!  I will deliver!  It is I that impregnates!  It is I that causes growth! It is I that brings forth and delivers!  Surrender to the process that I may bring about what I have ordained.
In this time, I will rebuild what was destroyed.  I will heal every injury and make you whole again.  Everything that was stripped and spoiled, I will restore.  From the remains you will rise.  I will give you beauty for ashes. Out of the heap will rise one that I have formed and fashioned for My purpose.  It is I that heals you. If I heal a thing, is it not healed?  If I restore a thing, is it not restored?  BE HEALED!  BE RESTORED!

My desire is toward you.  Can you discern the breath of My eager pursuit of you?  My love for you is perpetual, and unending. With My constant goodness, kindness, faithfulness, and abiding favor, I have seized you as My own, to establish, recreate, and cause you to continue.  In this season, you will advance and quicken your pace.
You will plant spiritual vineyards where people may drink of the new wine of My Spirit.  I am raising up true watchmen that will bring My people to a place where they may commune with Me.  There is a people who have stayed relentlessly on their ward to see and watch for Me.  This is My remnant.
I will bring them, draw them, and gather them together as a shepherd gathers his sheep to nourish and protect.  They will come. From this people will flow a stream, a river that flows from My throne into the Earth.
This people, My people will walk before Me with clean hands and pure hearts because of their intimacy with Me, because of My covenant, and because of My Name by which I have called them.
Then a song will arise in Zion that will cause the radiance of My Son to shine and the river of My Spirit to flow.  The Light of My Son will warm the coldest of hearts, and the river will water the faint and thirsty souls of My beloved.  This people will I abundantly satisfy with Myself.  I have heard the cries of repentance and have seen the longing heart and My desire is toward them.

A Word to California
California would not be in your heart if it were not in My heart.  For not only is California in My heart, but also My eye is on California.  I will come upon that great state like a wave, in the south first, then in the north.  My spirit will move from both ends of the state toward the middle.  Though the enemy has set up a wicked platform, I will raise a righteous platform in California; a spiritual wave it will be called.

A Prayer for California
We stand in the gap and repent on behalf of California.  Forgive us for our idolatrous ways.  Forgive us for the perversion that comes up before You from our state. Father, forgive us for possessing hearts filled with selfish-ambition, greed, and murder.  Cleanse us from defilement that has come through the spirit of death, the spirit of Molech, the love of Mammon, and the worship of idols.
Let the blood of Christ appease Your anger and advert the judgment You have determined for the State of California.  We apply the Blood of Christ over the entire state of California.  Father, remember Your covenantal roots that You have established in this great state.
We uproot, pull down, tear down, and destroy every evil root structure in the name of Jesus the Christ. In its place we build and plant in righteousness in the state of California through continual acts of righteousness.  We declare that the earth of California is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell in California.  We declare this is the generation of them who seek You, and seek Your face.
As the believers in California intercede from our place in Christ Jesus, who is head of all things, we declare the principalities and powers over this state will NOT be able to subdue the headship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Awaken and ignite an unquenchable flame of Your Spirit in the hearts and minds of those in this generation that would blaze down to a thousand generations.
Father, we ask You to use us to unite the believers in this area, so You can allow us to birth forth an awakening that leads to worldwide revival.
In the Name of Jesus the Christ.  Amen.

 The Enemies Strategy–Conspiracies
Oftentimes in different facets of our lives, we find ourselves surrounded by an invisible force field that seems impenetrable.  At other times, the people we work with cannot work together in harmony for no apparent reason or for some insignificant reason.  In those times, it is vital to seek direction from God and gain spiritual insight and strategy from the Holy Spirit.
Oftentimes the enemy uses spiritual strategies to distract, detain, and ultimately destroy the divine purposes of God for our lives. One of his tactics is to use conspiracies.  A conspiracy is a plot, plan, or scheme operating in a covert manner producing division and schism between individuals, groups, ministries, nations, etc.
After reading 2 Chronicles 24 and seeing how conspiracy led to the death of the priest Zechariah, and the execution of God’s judgment against Judah and Jerusalem, this prayer was inspired by the Holy Spirit to pray over the ministry where I serve.

A Prayer against Conspiracies
We decree and declare that every conspiracy, coalition, collusion and secret alliance, known and unknown, meant to bring about division, schism and separation, be revealed and severed.
We decree and declare that every plot, covert scheme meant for our destruction be brought to naught.
We decree and declare that every secret agreement containing a harmful objective be broken by the power that is in the name of Jesus the Christ.
We decree and declare that every entity in the natural and spiritual realms operating with deceitful and treacherous intentions, be exposed, uprooted, and expelled.
We disassociate ourselves, our loved ones, our ministry, our pastor, our pastor’s wife, our pastor’s children, every intercessor, the Worship Arts Ministry, and the Production Ministry, from all unlawful unions, alliances, affiliations, integrations, and secret understandings.  Instead, we decree and declare that those who are willing to walk in cooperation and collaboration be drawn together to fulfill the divine purpose and destiny of God for our lives and for the ministry.
We sever every clique, connection, faction, federation, guild, partnership, and syndicate that has gathered together against us, our loved ones, our ministry, our pastor and his family, every Intercessor, the Worship Arts Ministry, and the Production Ministry.
We declare Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.

We seal this prayer in the name of Jesus the Christ.  Amen!
