We Are New Home Owners!!

We did it! We closed last week and are now the proud new owners of a nice cozy ranch home in a very nice and friendly town. The house sits on a nice sized yard and is surrounded by trees giving a wonderful feeling of privacy. The view from our picture window is one of farm fields, a pond and a barn!  Each time we went out to look at the house, there's always been geese around the pond. I think they were there to entice us with such a breathtaking view. Hubby said that we'll have to put a couple of chairs on the front porch so we can enjoy our coffee with the lovely views in the morning!

To say we are blessed with this find is an understatement!! We had looked at so many houses and nothing was feeling like a home, but this one - the one I said didn't want to look at because it was way too small (eating crow here), this one felt like home.

To think I almost passed it by because of square footage when it had so many more benefits and we keep finding out more as time goes on. I am surprised at how long it was on the market, though. Probably one was the size, and the other is probably because it really needs updating inside. Our realtor said that many want the perfect house when they walk in - all updated and pristine. She said that it is amazing how many can't look past paint colors, etc.!!

So now we are looking at moving from here to there and will be deciding what goes and what isn't worthy of the move. Yes, we will be downsizing and that might get interesting as we decide what is worth keeping and what we can live without.
