Sophie tries to be helpful by washing the family dog for her mom, but she gives up when she’s the one who ends up all wet. She then tries to be kind by reading to her little brother, but he has plans of his own, which include a splash of cereal right in Sophie’s face! When Sophie is ready to quit once again, it’s up to Gabby to encourage her to keep trying and to teach her what the Bible says about perseverance: “We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NCV)

My Thoughts:

If you teach your children they are being watched over by guardian angels, then this adorable book for you.

Gabby is a young angel who has a problem - she doesn't know what to do about her charge, Sophie. Little Sophie tries to be helpful and starts projects but she doesn't finish them. It's not that Sophie wants to quit, but she gets frustrated easily and then gives up.

Based on Galatians 6:9, this book teaches the lesson of perseverance and finishing a task. Using colorful illustrations and a style that makes the book timeless, this could easily be a story your children will want to have you read to them again and again.

Although targeted for the 5-7 age range, this beautifully illustrated book will delight children (especially girls) of all ages.
